OACS is available to help you decide what type of hardware you should purchase to meet your needs.
[Please note that OACS does not sell or give away any type of hardware.]
OACS strongly recommends that purchasing agents utilize programs established by the University to acquire hardware.
- Academic Computers for Terps (for personal purchases).
- Master Contracts from the Department of Procurement and Supply (for institutional purchases).
The University occasionally offers institutional bulk buying opportunities resulting in discounts greater than what is usually offered. Consult with OACS on whether a buying opportunity is active.
OACS computers that are withdrawn from service are sent to Terrapin Trader, or held in reserve.
To initiate a consulting session with an OACS Technician, please open a work order.
