Beginning in the Fall 2017 semester, OACS is narrowing the focus of our Classroom Technology Support to BSOS departmental classrooms and conference rooms only. All General Purpose Classrooms (GPCs) previously under the OACS support umbrella are now supported by the main classroom support operation within DIT. Each GPC should have been updated with signage providing the new support contact information from DIT. OACS will continue to provide training and “first-response” support for departmental classrooms within BSOS. OACS User Support Technicians are charged with fulfilling instructional technology needs by:  

  • Assisting instructors in learning to operate the provided equipment, including microphones, cameras, LCD projectors, conference phones, and presentation software.

  • Verifying that classroom technology is in good working condition

  • Coordinating the resolution of classroom technology and facilities issues with BSOS and UM Facilities Management teams.
